About

AbsoFIT was founded in 2016 by Joanna Wallace, a Mum of two, runner and fitness fanatic….

I’ve always been into fitness in some shape or form. I ran the Glasgow Women’s 10k in May 2008 and became hooked on running. Since then, my passion for fitness has grown and in 2016 I took the step to change my career and follow my passion; AbsoFIT was born.

A lot of people come to me a little bit lost and it brings me so much joy to see them feeling confident, empowered, and loving life after our work together. I LOVE to move, it’s my go to in the bad times and the good and I am so passionate about sharing that with the people who work with me. As a coach my values are hard work, honesty and fun.

I will be honest with you, no BS, no quick fixes and no unrealistic goals. I expect honesty in return and people to just be real with me. I won’t tell you what you want to hear, I’ll tell you what you NEED to hear, because ultimately, that is what will get you the results.

I pride myself on how I train myself and how I coach others. You’ve got to block out the rest of the noise and truly believe in yourself and what you are capable of. As a client, don’t be scared to set your goals, what do you really want? As your coach, I’ll be pushing you to excel your own expectations of what you’re capable of.

Life should be fun! Whether that is holiday with the family, brunch with friends or training in the gym…there should always be laughter. I want you to enjoy training with me, find that sparkle, and I guarantee we will have some laughs along the way.

I know how hard it can be to fit everything in, so all my sessions are child friendly. I try to make my workouts as varied, fun and challenging as possible to each individual. I know people can lose motivation easily, become bored and want to give up, it's my job to keep you motivated and push you further in your training and hopefully some of my own passion will rub off on you!

As a Mum of two, I know how important it is to look after your body pre and post birth and introduce the right exercise the right way. I gained my Pre/Post Natal qualification so I could specialise in this area. I am continually looking to further my education and progress as a trainer in this area and have completed a Burrel Education qualification Level 2 Post-Natal Wellness Practioner, Beyond The Qualifications with Lyndsey Roberts, founder of Strong Like a Mutha and The Female Athlete course with physio Antony Lo

And most importantly the best thing about all this is that I love it. I love the buzz of seeing people working hard, enjoying the training and getting the results, whatever they may be. I love the flexibility, it allows me to still spend time with my family, but also have something for me that I am passionate about.
